Approximately 2 years ago, Google started integrating malware warnings into their search results to warn searchers about risky sites before they visit them. Being 2 years behind Google (the leader in search technologies), Microsoft has finally decided to identify malicious sites in their search results by showing clear warnings beside each suspicious site listing. Well, it is never too late to follow the footsteps of industry leaders.

Search & Internet Marketing Campaigns In An Economic Downturn It is very common for a business to run multiple search & internet
marketing campaigns for a similar marketing objective, therefore it is
important to understand the overall performances of a website and its
campaigns, including the conversion rate, click through rate, bounce
rate, traffic volume, traffic sources, etc.
To achieve an in-depth understanding of the various performance
metrics, a Web Analytics tool with comprehensive features should be put
in place. This allows a business to determine its website's
performances, identify successful campaigns and compare & adjust
different campaigns to meet its common marketing objective.
The importance of web analytics will continue to increase, especially
in the year of 2009 where new concepts such as Universal Search,
Intent-Based Search and Behaviour-Based Search start kicking in.

The most ideal method of link building is to obtain links naturally, however there are times where buying links is necessary to get a business recognised. Although Google does not approve link building in terms of cash exchange, an indirect approach is still acceptable. Enjoy the video where Aaron Wall from SEOBook.com discusses the various techniques in buying links indirectly.

Recently, i went across an article written by Skip Chilcott, Sr.
Product Manager of Microsoft where he publicly recommended webmasters
to engage in link exchange schemes which are regarded as semi black hat
SEO techniques by the search engines.
His theory towards this piece of shady advice? "They help to boost
our rankings in search engines." and "search engines look at the number
of links to your site from other sites when listing sites in search
results."
The above statement is extracted directly from the article which
appears to be rather shallow. Do you know that there are more than 200
factors in determining rankings? Unless Mr Skip Chilcott is trying to
tell our community that MSN Live Search still works around the old
model of link building or maybe this explains why MSN Live Search has
not been successful over the years.

Recently, there has been circulation of reports that a hacker could gain control of Gmail accounts and work towards gmail users' GoDaddy accounts. Claims by victims of such activities grew by the day and media coverage increased, which placed Google Gmail's market share at risk.
